Early morning jogging is a routine, but at this time of year it's not so much morning as pre-dawn. It is still a full night.
It is only during the summer months that I see this kind of dawn light. As it gets brighter, I notice the faces of people I pass, the way they look at me.
However, in this part of the town, there are many farmlands here and there, and few people were on the road when it became bright.

The colours of the clear sky, the shaded layers of clouds, the old buildings. I would have been following such things, but halfway through the walk, my eyes start to focus on the red. The red of dusk is the colour that leads to darkness, while the red of dawn leads to the light of a new day.
There is no doubt that I am living in a black winter, so the blue period is now past and there is no way to get it back.
But if I am living in memory anyway, I can dream of summer memories, of a world of vermilion.

The red of the morning reminds me of life.
