Voices of the Old Ones

Nara Women's University / Public opening period of the Memoriarl Museum

(続き)

On this day, I thought I was going to see the building.
Both outside and inside the building.
The Women's College premises, which are normally inaccessible.
I was satisfied with the light unique to the historical building.
Furthermore, inside the memorial building was a bit of a museum.
The commemorative photograph of the first graduates and their instructors is dated March Taisho 2nd year(1913).
The Chrysanthemum Crest and 奉安所; a little over a hundred years ago, in the days of the Empire.
As a child, 100 years would have seemed a long time ago, but now it seems like a fraction of a second.
In the meantime, the people in these pictures are gone and the political system has changed.

It reminded me of the theme song of a TV cartoon I used to watch on Saturdays when my daughter was still in high school.
The story was not as good as I had hoped and I stopped watching it immediately, but the theme song was strangely catchy.
The theme song did not seem to change when the film was remade two or three years ago. I listened to the song on my daughter's iPhone via Bluetooth.

Time flies, not a long time ago, but the same old thing over and over again.
I looked at the piece of paper playing dress-up and the poster at Ginza Mitsukoshi.

The music used for the slides was
