Light in the darkness

Former Ikoma Tunnel

(続き)

A little research shows that this place has a dark past.
Everyone is aware of the shameful history of the post-Meiji modern industrial heritage that remains in various parts of the country.
Some of the participants of the event said that ways should be explored to make wider use of the heritage.
However, I feel that it is fine the way it is now.
It is usually closed and in the dark,
Used as an evacuation route in case of fire or accident in other parallel tunnels.

After walking through it, the light shining in the darkness left a lasting impression on my mind.
Even in my darkest heart, I seek the light.
But not the intense one that drives out the darkness,
A light shining beyond or a wall light growing moss is enough.
I do not ask for a choice between black and white, but I desire a light that allows for infinite gradations.
