Following on from ‘Bijin-ga Exposition’, tickets to KOBE ART MARCHE 2025 were also sent to me.
The location is my favourite hotel. It has been used for shooting several times, but I have never stayed there yet, and the room rates have skyrocketed, probably due to inbound travel and other reasons. Unfortunately, I will not be able to stay there.
I was looking forward to the Art Fair, but as usual, on the day of the fair, I began to wonder whether I should go or not. I know that I myself am like a ghost, so I am not visible to anyone, but I feel that it would be too out of place for a poor little man who is not buying any artwork to go to a glamorous place.
If I go out today, I'll be shut up for a while again,' was my excuse to myself, and I arrived at the exhibition 40 minutes later than planned.
I started looking at the galleries to which I had been invited, but once I had seen them, I was stuck in the mindset that I should leave. Every room where the exhibition was held seemed to have a high threshold. I looked in through the door and saw that there were either lots of people or no one at .......
Nevertheless, I felt like entering some of the rooms when I saw beautiful colours.
I was particularly attracted to the blues and greens.
As I looked around, the gallery owner, or one of the young artists present at the gallery, gave me a detailed explanation of the exhibition.
Seahorses can hardly swim. Despite this, the name of the work is voyage.
The adult moths of the giant watermoth have no mouths and live only a short time.
The work titled ‘dreaming’ was either a giant water bug or a combination of a dragonfly and its larva. ......
I was more fascinated by the three-dimensional forms than the two-dimensional works.
After looking around for a little over an hour, I went to the View Bar. I had intended to have a short cocktail or two, but the bartender was not on duty at the time, so I had no choice but to have a gin and tonic and leave.
I was surprised to see a couple of groups having lunch at the View Bar.
I took the Hanshin train home from Motomachi Station, and on the way to the station I bought a kintsuba and a pork bun.
After returning home, I put one of each in my stomach along with a glass of hot water whiskey.
「美人画博覧会」に引き続き、KOBE ART MARCHE 2025へのチケットも、送っていただいた。
場所は、お気に入りのホテル。何度か撮影に利用したが、まだ一度も泊まったことはなく、インバウンド等の理由によるのだろう宿泊料金が高騰している。残念ながら、泊まってみることは叶わないだろう。
楽しみにしていたArt Fair だったが、例によって、当日になると、行くか行くまいか迷い始める。私自身は、ゴーストのようなものだから、誰の目にも映らないのは分かっていても、作品を買うわけでもない貧相な小男が、華やかな場所へ出向いていくのは、あまりにも場違いなのではないかと思ってしまう。
今日出かけていったら、また暫く、引籠りになるのだから」それが自らへの言い訳として、予定よりも４０分ほど遅れて会場へ到着した。
招待していただいたギャラリーから見始めたが、そこを見てしまうと、もう離脱しようかという思いに囚われる。展示会場となっているどの部屋も敷居が高く感じられる。ドアのところから覗いて、人がたくさんいても、或いは誰もいなくても……。
それでも、いくつか入ってみる気持ちになったのは、美しい色が見えた時。
青や緑に特に惹かれた。
見入っていると、ギャラリー主、或いは在廊中の若い作家自らが、丁寧な説明をしてくださる。
タツノオトシゴは殆ど泳げないこと。それにもにもかかわらず、作品名はvoyage。
オオミズアオという名の蛾の成虫には口が無く、生きている時間は短いとのこと。
dreamingという題名が付いていたのは、そのオオミズアオだったか、トンボとヤゴが組み合わさった作品だったか……。
平面作品よりも立体造形に魅せられた。
１時間少し作品を見て回って、View Bar へ行った。ショートカクテルを一二杯というつもりだったが、バーテンダーの出勤している時間ではなく、仕方なく、ジントニックを一杯だけ飲んで帰った。
View Bar でランチにするグループが何組かあるのも意外だった。
元町駅から阪神に乗って帰ったのだが、駅までの道すがら、きんつばと豚まんを購入した。
帰宅後、湯割りのウィスキー一杯と共に、それぞれ一つずつ腹へ入れた。
